RE: Rumor mill time - Cat 6500 on R&S lab exam?

I'd like to see some 3750s on there too. I use them a lot, both at the
edge, distribution layer and often at the core when a 4500 isn't needed.

I wonder if they will ever introduce a small ASA into the blueprint when
they phase out Frame and EIGRP. Would be nice to see wireless qos too.

Thats the reaosn that i like to see maybe a 3560, 4500, and a 6500, On the
routers i like to see 2811, 7200, 7600.

If Cisco does that, the CCIE program will be inline with the real world
networks and i think that CCIEs will be more relevent.

Prior to the 35x0, there were Cat 5000 switches right?

What did people preparing for the lab do in the past when Cat 5000's were on
the exam?

I think many of us have access to Cat 6K and 7Ks in production, but we
obviously cannot do the kind of things we currently do when preparing for
the labs on the 3550, 3560 and 3750s.

I am sure the rack rental people are watching this closely.

I actually agree with Narbik..It is a big shame not to be aware of 6500 and
4500 chasis and config tricks for a CCIE I think. And also, as a CCIE, most
of time I deal with big chasis, not much with 3560s or less.
It should be good I think
