On a 3550, the ASICs belong to an interface, hence they need to use a
reflector port

WHY DO 3550s require reflector ports and 3750s don't?

Before you bombard me, I know that 3550s do require reflector port and 3750s don't ... That's what Cisco told us, but what is the technical reason????????

3550s definitely do need the reflector ports
