Let me offer counter argument. Say that you need to configure 30 of those
interfaces in VRF. You do that with cover-all network statement in OSPF.
Later on, for whatever reason, you need to disable OSPF on one interface.
Sure, you think, I'll just do "passive-interface X"... and then you discover
that the option is not available under VRF in most IOS versions. What do you
do next? :-)
