It is very common in MPLS L3VPN configurations as PE-CE routing protocol. As a rule, each customer is in a separate VRF and separate routing process - hence multiple OSPF processes.

In non-SP environments similar solution may be used when connecting two separate routing domains (company merger for example) to avoid complex redistribution and filtering scenarios. Of course, one could argue how two OSPF processes are simpler than two, but that very much depends from exact situation.

To all

Does any one know why do we have to run Many OSPF process on single
Router. What is the benefit of doing that and when it should be used.
