Thomas, if they knew they had STP loops, why didn't they fix them?
Draw a diagram of the switch interconnects. If different VLANs are
being trunked over different interfaces, use different colours to mark
it on your diagram. You can 'see' the possible loops better this way.
Check the switch and port priorities.
