However, when implementing Data MDT, don't be confused with pruned (S,G) states in VRF's. They will be there on all participating PE's. Also, when using SSM for data MDT, you will be increasing state information in the core, as each Data MDT will be created in the global P mroute table.
Regarding your original question, I am certain you will get nowhere fast with dense mode. In some lab scenario perhaps, in real-life it's a disaster waiting to happen, even if you make it work.
