Here are a few things I can derive from what you described:
1. I personally prefer doing the BGP part right after IGP (and check the
connectivity after BGP is done), BGP is a core item and multicast is
not. Core stuff should be taken care of first because of they can screw
up other core stuff or non-core stuff. If non-core stuff is not
working, the damage is limited and contained
2. you probably need more practice on multicast. Try to consolidate
your knowledge in this area and know why things are done a certain way
and how many ways you can achieve the same goal.
3. more practice on ACLs. You need to practice enough times that you
don't need to remind yourself to put in "permit all" or anything else
you always forget.
4. use your lunch time to think and figure out things in your head, not
socialize :).

Denizens of the CCIE-world,
Here I am with much retro/introspection jotting down my thoughts as
now my second attempt has gone in thin air and i stand stranded amidst
my knowledge and confidence as to where i went haywire.
Till lunch time i was euphoric that this time i nailed it, IGP/Sw was
working fine and had e-checked for redistributions and prefix-lists.
Then along came multicast which ate away my time into BGP too, Im sure
i have made mistakes in applying those "permit all" commands at the last
of the prefix/ACLs for Qos/BGP, apart from that i had confirmed my
solution with Doc-cd too.
Can anyone point out those "minuscule" issues that i should be taking
care of and pls share your Exps regarding these small problems which can
crop up and make a mess, as i need to see where i could go wrong else my
attempt 3 wil have less of a plausible chance.
Cheers
Shukla.
