Try adding a network statement that covers an interface and you might
see it magically appear in the config.

Subject: RIP question
Hi All,
I have a question regarding rip.
IIs there a way in the ios on routers to disable the command "router
rip"
where in the prompt
does not go into the config-router mode. IP routing is enabled in any
case.
Or to put it in a different way, What would be the reason , when you
enter the "router rip" command in the IOS , it does not go into the
config-router mode even when Ip routing is enabled.
Regards
Shamin
