LAST WEEK'S ANSWER:

Answer: a, c

Topic Domain: 4a

Issues:

What are the defaults for hold time? Can adjacencies form if there is a
mismatch? What does Cisco recommend for the setting of these values?

Solutions:

EIGRP uses a default hello interval and hold time of 5 and 15 seconds by
default. These values are for high speed networks. For low speed, NMBA
networks, EIGRP uses a hold time of 180 seconds and a hello interval of 60
seconds. Low speed is defined as T1 or slower as set by the bandwidth command.
Unlike OSPF, adjacencies can form if these values are mismatched. Cisco
recommends that you always set the hold time at least three times the hello
interval.
