Purpose of client-name in DHCP pool

Hi all...
        
I am doing some testing with the DHCP Server feature. Can anybody tell
me what would be the purpose of specifying the client-name inside a Host
DHCP pool (i.e. a specific client reservation).

This doesn't appear to be used in the DHCP process, is it there for use
in DDNS, where the server is making the update to the DNS server on
behalf of the client?
