what will be the major technology in Access Networks?

Hello folks,

I am researching access network technology.
There are many technologies in Access network such as ADSL, ADSL plus, ADSL-2, VDSL1/2, FTTx, WLAN and so on. In those the dominant one now is xDSL and FTTx is coming.
My question which one will be the major technology?
I think FTTx and xDSL especially VDSL-2 long reach will be competing in the future.
