Hi group,
Since we don't have control on our providers MPLS CE routers, i would like to
extend the BGP session of the provider CE router inwards towards one of our
own managed routers.
This would give me perfect control over redistribution and filtering/as path
changing etc...
----- OSPF ----| company managed router | --------- xBGP --------- | provider
CE router | -------- BGP ------- MPLS cloud
1) is this a common practise and do most providers allow this ?
2) i am puzzled wheither i should use an iBGP session (same AS) session or
should i use a eBGP session (another AS number) ?
3) Can i use AS-path prepending and other techniques on iBGP sessions ?
regards,
Geert Nijs
