I guess what I was trying to say was that if someone doesn't have a few
minutes to reboot the routers during the 8-hour exam, his chances are
not that good :) also, why leave something up to chance when you can
take care of it up front?
It might be just me but I personally think the "reboot by lunch time" is
slightly unreliable. For my 2nd attempt the protor showed up one hour
late and we only had 2 hours before going to lunch which is almost
impossible to get all the routing protocols working properly. Without
the routing protocol being done, rebooting the routers really doesn't do
any good. I personally went by a "17 points per hour" rule (which leaves
2 hour to fix any issues at the end) and just reboot when I am ready ...

Hmmm...
It depends...
The traditional school of thought suggest reloading before lunch.
However, if I had everything working... I may or may not reload - I'd
really have to ask myself if I had enough time to fix the problems I may
uncover.
You see, I just do not believe it is common practice for the proctors to
reload your rack.
I am not them and none of can say for sure, and the proctors for sure
will not say.
It really depends on how much time I have left and if I'm feeling lucky.
Gonna catch spam on this one, but to each his own.
Reboot at lunch sounds great. Hopefully you got things working by then.
If not your chances of passing are waning fast anyway.
If you find problems at that juncture with only about
3 hours left you are probably toast anyway.
Enjoy the meal.
