Hi all,
I just bumped into the same issue thanks Kim XD I spent an hour on
solving it but I couldn't....
About reachability for RID of virtual link peer: it is not needed.
In core lab 3 eg:
Rack1R3#sh ip ospf virt
Virtual Link OSPF_VL1 to router 150.1.1.1 is up
Rack1R3#sh ip route 150.1.1.1
% Subnet not in table
(btw: R3 and R1 are not directly connected cause of the IP ospf pri 0
you have to issue on multipoint FR interface.)
Cheers and thx!
Istvan

Subject: CCIE question -- IE expert core lab #3
Hi ,
I am having problem bring the OSPF VL up in section 4.5 from the core
lab#3 v4 of IE expert. My initial thought was that the VL between R1 and
R3 won't come up because the two loopbacks (rtr ids) can't reach each
other at that point of the lab. But then I tried to make them reachable
by adding static routes and I still can't get the VL to come up even
though I have the exact same config in the solution guide of this lab.
Just wanted to see if anyone else had encountered this problem, or if I
am missing something here.
thanks
Ola
