Neither of the two systems that you have supports multiple context mode.

The PIX 500 series requires Unrestricted License (UR) and the ASA Series start supporting multiple context with the ASA-5510 boxes.

Subject: PIX and ASA licenses

Guys ;
  I have PIX 515E with R licenses and an ASA 5505 with DMZ restricted licenses

  is there anyway i can test contexts on any of the two boxes without buying the licenses ?..I heard that the PIX can support 2 contexts as default ..but this is not happeneing on my box

  one more thing ..how can i buy those licesnes in case this the only option ?

  on teh Cisco site they request product authorization key ..anyone know what that is ??
