In some situations, when for ex.,
redist'ing mutually on two routers between eigrp and ospf, assume you have
some external routes in EIGRP, learned from RIP or etc. after you
redistribute your eigrp into ospf and then on the other router ospf to eigrp
back, now your eigrp routers has two choices to those RIP routes, one from
the original border router which gets the routes from RIP to eigrp, and the
other one is your ospf connected router. so you may have a loop in this
case. it may be useful denying the tag and setting the tag, and then the
reverse for other way of redistro.
