Hello group,

I got a question regarding NSSA for OSPF and wondering if someone can help here.

For example if I have 4 routers:

  R1-----R2-----R3-----R4

Interfaces between R1-----R2 --> running OSPF in area 0
Interfaces between R2-----R3 --> running OSPF in area 25 (where I want to set-up NSSA)
Interfaces between R3-----R4 --> running RIP (R3 is the ASBR)

Now I want to set-up the following:

  1) R2 to provide only Intra-area info and default gatewayto AREA 25
2) R2 to advertise all routes redistributed to OSPF Domain
3) All of OSPF routers and Switches, except R3, is unable to advertise any External-Route to AREA 25

Can this be achieved with the following commands:

  R2#

  router ospf 1
  area 25 nssa no-redistribution no-summary

  R3#

  router ospf 1
  area 52 nssa
