Its preaty simple.
Cisco send the box with the IOS in sup-bootflash. If you have redundant SUP720, then the backup IOS file will be in slavesup-bootflash.
If the IOS you are trying to upgrade to fits in the sup-bootflash, then copy it there, and the redundant sup. if the IOS does not fit in it:
then copy it to the disk0 and slavedisk0 and reference it on the config by: "boot system disk0:name of IOS"
Also if you are going to have more than one file, then you also need to reference it in the config by "boot system xxxxxx"
