We get hit all the same, other then the 3 free chances (per CCIE :-) ). I
had to pay for one of my labs when it was only 2 free. The worst problem is
getting all of the equipment together, remotely accessible, and then going
to connect and you can't, drive to the office, and find out an AM has
borrowed equipment for a customer demo.
The SE dropping a seat, counts against their free count, they get nailed
with the 6 month wait, and their boss gets informed. Depending on your boss,
this can be nothing or a major issue. The whole reason for the 3 free count,
is because of the number of SE's that never showed up and the number that
just used the pitch until you win methodology.
