The orders of commands are important in this case. I have removed the
prefix-list from the distribute-list where it was applied and created the
prefix-list and applied back to the distribute-list.

If you have that prefix list applied anywhere when you try to modify it or
create it, it will cause a crash.

My 3640 with 128/32MB crashes when the following access-list is entered. Am
I doing something wrong or missing anything here?
