Hi All,

I know similar questions has been posted in the
archives as i am nto sure of my solution can soemone
please verify if this is correct and if not then what
will be the right answer.

Given IPv6 Prefix:- 2001:abc:123::/48
Interface Ip address 7.7.30.3

I have to configure IPv6 address on the interface
whose host portion must be made of EUI-64 format,
mask on the interface must be/64
remaining bits of the network address should be made
of 3rd octet of the IPv4 address.

Proposed Solution:

3rd octet of IPv4 is 30
30 in Hex is IE
so the Ipv6 address would be

2003:abc:123:1e::/64 eui-64

it appears to simple to be true...please advise.

Thnaks
Sam
