Hola folks,
I have yet another question I'm hoping someone can
clear up for me. When using pbr for basic functions
like setting precedence or next-hop. I have seen
examples saying to turn disable cef route caching (no
ip route-cache cef) but reading the doc cd I'm unclear
why this is a good idea. Best I can tell route the ip
route-cache cef enables fast switching of PBR traffic?
Is this one of those "gotta do it for the lab" things
or is it also a good practice in real life. I'm
guessing it just allows me to see more matches for a
given policy?
I guess the real question is what's the real-worl best
practice vs. the lab best practice?
-Gracias
