For simple route-filtering, there are multiple options available. Use
whatever one suits your fancy (or more importantly) is allowed by the lab!

If you are given no restrictions, then it is completely up to you!

The author apparantly just liked route-maps! :)

I'm working on IEexpert version 4 lab2. In the EGP section, I found that the
solution uses only route-map on bgp route distribution. Should we use
route-map wherever possible and avoid distribution-list, filter list...etc?

What is the advantage for using distribution-list, filter-list ... when
route-map can gives the same result?
