Redistribution using route map

Team,
Could any one tell me whether there is any difference in output with the
following types.

Type 1:

router ospf 1
redistribute rip subnets route-map RIP-->OSPF
!
route-map RIP-->OSPF
set metric 400
!

Type 2 :

router ospf 1
redistribute rip subnets metric 400
!

Logically ,I dont see any difference. Could any one tell me whether there
is any difference in the output.
