Hi all,

I have a question regarding Multicast.
While doing Multicast with Auto-rp. If it is requred that the RP announces
itself as the RP for specific groups only,
In the, # ip send-rp-announce .. group-list , command with the group-list,
should the access-list configured contain only
permit statements or it can also have deny statements. This is mainly asked
keeping in mind that, if the task requires
you to configure minimum entries in the access-list.

I am little bit confused reading different posts in the archive.

Now , I understand from Brian's classes on COD that, the mapping agent
should have similar ACL's (as the RP it is mapping), configured if it is
doing an RP-List command . So Indirectly, It points out that the RP-List
command ACL's on the mapping agent should also have only permit statements.

This comes into picture mainly If the requirement specifies to use minimum
ACL entries to match.

Replies will be much appreciated & will help the topic to be understood
better.
Thanks

Regards
Shamin
