MST is more CST in mind right ?

I am seeing words like "simulate" when they talk about

MST interaction with PVST ,

"The MST region replicates the IST BPDU on all the
VLANs to simulate a PVST+ neighbor."

But I can't see such wording as "simulate" when they
talk
about MST interaction with CST.
