Ben, Option1 is back to back VRF address-family ipv4 vrf xyz; option2 is address-family vpn4. The two P/PE routers peer at each other via both option1 and option2 mpls and exchange same routes for same source and same destination. Dusty

Subject: MPLS option 1 and option 2 on same router
Hi group,
I have quick question for MPLS expert out there. I have two routers perform as both P and PE connect with each other via two interfaces - one for option 1 and one for option 2. Two CE routers and each connects to each of the P/PE router (Site1-CE - P/PE - P/PE - CE-Site2)
The P/PE routers learn destination of both Site1 and Site2 via both MPLS option 1 and option 2, same RD, same RT, etc... What P/PE routers will do with packets traverse b/t Site1 <-> Site2? Which MPLS option will have higher precedence that other?? Load balance b/t option 1 and option 2??
Thanks,
Dusty
