Hi,

Cef must enable in CAR, unicast reverse path forwarding, NBAR, and when we
set or mark in QOS. So, I think it need enable indeed, because it set-frde.

   I was just wondering do we need to disable ip cef on the router that
configured with policing as follows:

   #policy-map SHAPE
   #class class-default
   #police cir 4000
   #confirm-action trasmit
   #exceed-action set-frde-transmit
   #exit
   #interface s0/0
   #service-policy output SHAPE
