Hi Ian,
use an access-list on the router and put two lines containing the
physical and the virtual IP in like this:
access-list 10 permit host virtual IP log
access-list 10 permit host physical IP log
access-list 10 permit ip any any
Apply it to the inbound interface on the router.
You could also use sniffing software and port mirror the router connection.
