Hi everyone

Just thought I would introduce myself - I have been lurking for a few weeks
and am finding the group very useful. I am currently working for a SP/telco
in the UK and passed CCNA/CCNP several years ago and have always wanted to
be CCIE but haven't had the time (2 new kids!) or motivation until my
company decided that they no longer require my services from October and my
CCNP was almost due for recert. So I took the written on 15th April and
passed and have booked a lab for 6th September - somedays I think I'm ready
to take it now and somedays I think I will never be ready in time! I have
setup my old CCNP lab and added a few items and now have;
3*2600
2*1760
2*2950
3640
2509
2514
3524
All routers with wic-1t/2ts and 3640 has a nm-8as for frame-relay switching.
As you can see, I could do with a L3 switch, so will try to pickup a 3550/60
from somewhere when I can.

I am looking at getting one of the online workbooks to run some practice
labs and find out any weak areas I need to look at - but as you can see my
lab is prob never going to look like any workbooks! I'm wondering if this is
a huge problem or not - most of my studying is done when I get an hour or 2
during the day or when the kids have gone to bed so booking rack rental time
in advance isn't an easy. Is adapting the labs to fit your equipment an
option? Let me know what you think.

Thanks

Mike
