RE: OT: CCIE RS Rumor mill - changes [html-rem]

I think you need to pay closer attention to exactly how the horse is
talking. :)

Wireless integrated into an R&S lab makes very little sense for a number of
reasons, but I'm sure as you plan you plan to upgrade your equipment lists
on your pods you'll figure out some of that from a functional perspective as
well as a testing/grading perspective. (not even considering that these
labs are in live buildings with other people who work wirelessly and would
NOT be amused by some not-quite-qualified person messing with wireless
configuration.

Now PREPARING for wireless (e.g. another pseudo-pretend thing that we do for
many other "enterprise" topics) is a different story, and a workable one.

And if no announcement is forthcoming in the near future, should we assume
that this "from the horses mouth to Brad's e-mail" method of communication
was planned dissemination? :)

I seem to recall a movie, something about from God to Jerry to Kent to the
cleaners. (Real Genius for those wondering, excellent movie)

Relax. Until it hits Cisco's web site it is most solidly nothing to worry
about. When it hits the web site, pay attention to exactly what things do
and what things do not. That may clear up much confusion.

No, I only do one of those per year...and the whole "Cisco bought NLI" thing
caused us to receive 30-40 phone calls within the past two days...so NO,
wireless is not a joke. It was something I heard "from the horses mouth"
this morning. A strong mention of wireless as a core topic on the R&S lab
exam and some other changes coming to the other lab exams. I don't think
anything will be announced anytime soon, but ya never know.

thanks,
