Dear GS,
I am simulating the DVMRP tunnel from R4 to another router with normal GRE
tunnel and enable 'ip dvmrp unicast-routing'.
I found there are 2 problem on my lab. Please comments if you have done this.
1) On R4, VLAN4 (167.1.4.0/24) is pim enable. I cannot see the route in local
DVMRP table using 'show ip dvmrp route'. But it will be advertised out from
the tunnel and to R5 and R3. The solution given is able to see this VLAN4 on
the dvmrp table on R4 itself.
2) I am not able to stop advertising any of the DVMRP route outfrom the tunnel
even if I put 'ip dvmrp metric 0' on the interface. This means, I am not able
to stop VLAN1363 (204.12.1.0/24) as well. I am only able to stop/control
advertise dvmrp route that is local connected to R4 with pim enable. Is this
behave correcly?
I have tried different IOS version, but result were same.
