An update:
I called the representative that BrandVia provided, who is the Certification
Program Manager - Customer Advocacy, and she has confirmed that they have
completely eliminated the medallion plaque. Part of the move was based on
marketing and standards on the logos and colors.
In addition they have moved to a new plaque very recently which includes the
current Cisco Logo, so they have even gone beyond the two-tone grey / green
plaques with the etching on them that a good portion of us have. She said
it was decided that they are hard to read especially in certain lights. I
asked her about the potential cost of the new plauqes if people wanted to
update theirs, and she stated that they are working on that but expect it to
be approximately $100.
I have asked her if she can provide a picture of the brand new one, and she
has stated that she will contact the vendor and will post a picture and
provide a link or the picture itself. I will provide the link to it as soon
as I have one.
