I'll let someone else answer the CAR portion of this.
But I actually asked a couple proctors about the time-range question.
Basically, the response I got back is that either value would be
accepted as they both prove that you have an understanding of the
concept being tested and how to implement a solution that meets the
requirements. (In other words, it's not worth debating which one is
more technically accurate during the lab. If you are worried about it,
ask the proctor and they'll give you the reassurance that it makes no
difference.)

Subject: About CAR and time-range
hi guys,
I have 2 seperate question, first one about policing. when we are
policing with CAR, I am in doubt with the parameters Bc and Be values.
As much as I know, if I enter the same value for both, then excesive
burst will be 0.
and when we are policing within policy-map, I know that be should be
entered 0 for excessive burst to be 0.
am I wright about those?
one more thing about policing, it is the argument cir, when we can just
enter police 200000 and when we should say police cir 200000 ??
my second question is about time ranges..for ex. when the question says
time between 08:00 and 17:00, should we configure 08:00 to 16:59 or
08:00 to 17:00 ?? as much as I know about that, time range is valid
until the last msec of the clock we entered. so 16:59 seems to be ok,
but in some solutions I see just 17:00... I am really confused about
that and waiting for your comments about it.
thank you
Serdar
