If you are pinging something that resides on the same subnet as the IP
address of the CatOS switch then you should see the MAC with "show arp".
If not, then Edison's suggestion should take care of it for you.

If this 4506 is running hybrid,
ping in the MSFC
get the MAC address from there.
come back to CATOS and do a show cam dynamic [mac-address]
remember, the mac-address format in CATOS is a bit different
(00-00-0X-XX-XX)
instead of 0000.0XXX.XXXX
