Hang in there Captain Obvious - you'll get it. I ended up spending 30 to 40
hours a week above and beyond my job - for 5 1/2 months before passing, and
my family paid dearly for it.

But, my opinion is that

TIME x INFORMATION = CCIE

Getting the information is surely half the battle, the other half is finding
the required time. Hang in there, and you'll get it. I took a swing when I
wasn't ready too - and like you, I got smacked down, but it was not a
surprise at all - I knew I hadn't earned it yet. Kind of like training for a
marathon - you gotta put on the miles. The lab is an 8 hour marathon;.
