A redistribution question - very simple

When you redistribute between from EIGRP into OSPF, You could set a
metric and Tag using a route-map and say "redistribute eigrp xx subnets
route-map EIGRP_OSPF. And the route-map reads:

Route-map EIGRP_OSPF
Set metric 50
Set tag 85

Also you can directly redistribute using "redistribute eigrp xx subnets
metric 50 tag 85" under ospf. What is the difference between these two
methods? I don't see anything. I have faced this exact case at least 4
times during vendor labs practices. I always choose the direct method,
whereas the vendor solution guide mostly picks the route-map method.

What makes them to choose this path.? There may be a remote chance of
putting more route filtering in later stage on the same route
redistribution, so you could modify or expand the same route-map... but
other than this.. in plain vanilla redistribution, does it really
matter.?
