Hello,
Just need some advise from the folks on this list. We have gigE from
Verizon over sonet to connect our offices, currently they are mapping 3 STS
channel to give us 155Mbps over the gigE. We will need to run VOIP over
this line and configure QOS. I'm not sure what QOS and shaping is best for
this scenario, since the GigE ports will burst at full gig speed, and the
actual speed is only 155Mbps. Should I use CAR, Policing, and class based
QOS and how would I compenstate for the differences in the speed between the
GigE ports handoff, and the sonet speed set at 155Mbps to make VOIP work?
Any thoughts?
