Subject: Passed today in San Jose!
Hi GS:
Today I finally got my number at attempt nr.3 : 17518!
Here is what I used:
Internetwork Experts: nothing new here, right? The Brians are awesome! What
a nice work! The classes on demand and the workbook are absolutely great! I
completed all core labs, and 18 full labs...most of them were version
3.0...the new version 4.0 I only did lab 12 and just read the other ones.
Cisco Assessor labs: valid experience since format and wording are similar
to real one...it's also good to see how your grade can be messed up when you
don't get partial grade (just like the real one!)
Netmaster CheckIT labs: very useful...if you are used with the IEWB format,
please do the CheckIT labs!...the format it's totally different and totally
throws you off while you are doing the lab. It's good to see how you react
when unexpected things happen in the lab.
Scott Morris bootcamp: Scott really knows his stuff! The problem here is
that I took the class in August, just when I was starting to prepare for
this exam. So, i still had too many basic issues and didn't take advantage
as much as I would have if I had took the bootcamp closer to my lab date.
GroupStudy: that's right! this list is a great resource! All the vendors
provide a great service by always answering our questions. I read most of
the discussions (even the jokes!) and many of them clarified some concepts
in my mind. Keep up the good work! Also, I highly recommend using Gmail for
this list, since it organizes the messages automatically. I know you can do
that with Outlook but I don't think you can do that with other webmail.
My first attempt was in Nov 21..I really think that if you wait 6 or more
months between attempts, it's almost like starting again...So, I recommend
for those who fail the exam recently to continue studying and schedule a new
lab soon. I know it can be disappointing and frustrating after you fail, but
you should take experience to learn from your mistakes and to identify areas
for improvement.
That's it! I gotta go drink another beer!
Cheers!
Andre
