You are just making a couple very common mistakes. First off there is a
troubleshooting section in lab 1. You should resolve the 3 issues in the
initial configurations before starting the lab (i.e. IP addresses applied to
the wrong interfaces). Secondly you appear to be confusing the physical
topology with the logical topology. The diagram for the lab is the logical
topology not the physical topology.
