If you are not given any HINT as to which VTP mode to choose - then by
all means select whichever mode will help you get your tasks done as
efficiently as possible.

In fact, you can use the above response as a "template" for your other
questions. If they do not specify or hint at what mode or specific
protocol to use - feel free to use the most efficient.

I think your question also brings up a related point. While it is always
a good idea to stick to best practices in your configurations, be aware
that many struggle with TIME on the exam. Be careful you are not
over-configuring for no reason whatsoever. An example of this would be
adding statements to restrict your trunk links to only the VLANs in your
topology when they NEVER asked you to do this.

OK - maybe that is a goofy example - but I am tired.

I hope this post helps you.

Hi, everyone
I'd like to know which kind of VTP mode should I choose if there is
no any requriemnet in switch configuration?
By the way, In the real lab exam, If there is no any requirment about
trunk , which type of encapsulation should I use?
   Also, how about etherchannel mode?
Thanks
