Jeff,
The command "spanning-tree pathcost [long | short}
does exist on the 3560's.
I labbed it.
And while it may not be documented in the command
reference guide - it is there and it does change the
value - I can produce the output easily enough.
Apparently this featue is quite common among a lot of
vendor's switches as a quick search through google
would suggest.
I have to read you link, and I know I was till 4am or
so labbing it up, but it definately changed the
values.
I was working on remote lab or I would have posted my
lab results.
If needed, I can produce them along with the version
of code on the 3560 - I did not try it yet on my
3550's.
