We are a COVAD voip reseller and have several customers who are using Covad.
What we have found out is that the hosted solution is good for small
companies but seems to have issues with features for bigger companies. If
you stick to the 10-40 handset range, I think it's okay. Anymore than that,
and it can become an issue (IMHO). If there isn't an IT guy on-site at the
company, the managed solution is great. If the company has an IT staff or
person on-site (ie, they are big enough for that overhead), then go with a
premise based solution...or at least this is what I am seeing here in Las
Vegas.
