Hello group,
I've gotten into the habit of opening a notepad file and putting this:
no ip mroute-cache
ip pim sparse-m (or sparse-d, whatever)
then whenever I go to enable pim on an interface I just paste those two
lines in. Obviously I'm doing this in case I need to do a 'debug ip mpacket'
to troubleshoot a problem later.
QUESTION 1:
Is leaving 'no ip mroute-cache' on the interfaces going to bite me? I can't
imagine but figure I'd ask if anyone knew
QUESTION 2:
How about other things like creating an SVI on a switch to test an
access-list? If I create interface vlan 20, am I hosed if I leave it there?
thanks,
Dave
