Subject: Another new Kid in town issue #17474
Hello group,
After one year of intense work, I got my number at first attempt on February
23 in Brussels.
I started my LAB studies on January 2006. I used Internetwork Expert's R&S
Workbook, and also CoreLab WB.
I would like to thank you all who is giving effort to this valueable study
group.
Thanks to Brian Dennis and Brian McGahan for their great products.
Thanks to Scott Morris for his endless help to people, A. B. Caslow his deep
explanations to clearout the unknown,
Victor Cappucio he is so fast in answers and so helpful, Petr Lapukhov
thanks for QoS solutions, Todd Osterberg for his great VB script to
initiliaze my rack in 3 minutes.
Below are my recommedations and study methods who are already preparing R&S
track.
1- LAB is doable and was simple than I expected
2- Build your own LAB if you can afford about 6-8K
3- Obtain a workbook, I can only recommend Internetwork Expert because
I have no idea about the others
4- Don't finish all the LABs in the workbook in a rush, they will
become useless J
5- Try to solve isolated problems in each technologies
6- Read all the LAB cover to cover, may be a quick look at beginning
7- Ask questions to proctor, show your knowledge when asking question,
otherwise you will not get any answer
8- Check your configuration and result after every task, know how to
check a solution
9- Be ready everything in the LAB blueprint
10- Learn the new features in the IOS
11- I can recommend you the MOCK Labs from IE, ASET Labs from Cisco
HTH
