DocCD is very clear about that. It's an interface, not a channel. When using
Lacp you can have up to 16 interfaces in a port-channel and up to eight of
the active, meaning they forward traffic, all other are standing by. If one
link fails, the standby interface takes its place.

standby modes."), but I didn't understand it. How can an Etherchannel be in
standby mode?
