Adjust the MTU of the server's Ethernet interface(s), or perhaps set a
smaller TCP MSS?

Subject
setting packet size on an ftp server

Hello guys,

Although this is not directly relating to the CCIE Lab, it would be great
if
someone could provide me with a pointer.

I need to setup an ftp server on which I can vary the max packet size for
uploads. I am testing a download speed on the other side of the connection
(ftp client), but want to be varying the frame sizes (on the wire) which I
thought I could do if I set the maximum packet size up from the IP layer
on
the server end.

I have tried downloading quite a few FTP server programs, all of which
dont
give me an option to set the max upload packet size.

Any good suggestions please?

Sadiq
