3550 has been EoS for some time now, but still on the lab. 12.2T IOS has
been gone for a while, but still on the security lab!
A valid technology to learn and something being currently sold are two
different ideas. There are a LOT of people who still have VPN concentrators
out there. And as much of a pain in the butt as I think they are, they are
a great box for user-based VPN aggregation! (just not SSL)
I'm sure at some point they will be removed, but I wouldn't expect it in the
near future. Any change will be announced approximately 6 months from
deployment.

for those studying for CCIE security, Cisco just announced VPN3000 product
line going EoS/EoL. Last day to order is August 6, 2007. I'm not sure if
this will cause the removal of vpn3000 from the lab hardware list, but it's
possible.
