If memory serves, they use a straight-through cable for console.
At least that's what my 3030 takes, and I assume they're all the same.

Subject: VPN 3005 Concentrator
Hello all!
I was blessed with a VPN 3000 Series Concentrator (3005) for my home lab
last week.
The friend took it out of production and sent it to me.
I connected to the Console port - yet I get nothing in response.
Before I start fumbling around more - I thought I would ask here about the
most efficient way to reset this thing and start with new initial
configurations.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
