IRB and IPV6

Hi everybody,
i'm quit new hear but I'd like to know if there is any way to process
IPV6 over IRB. Suppose I have topology like this:

R1 --- R2(IRB) --- R3

R1 can ipv6 ping R3
but neither R1 nor R3 can ipv6 ping R2

IPV4 connectivity is alive.

Any suggestions?
